Bodybuilding Supplement Builds Your Brain, Too

Dear Reader,

Have you tried creatine yet? This supplement is most known for its ability to boost athletic performance.

But that's just the beginning of what this supplement does. Creatine is also an incredibly powerful nootropic.

Nootropics are supplements that increase your brainpower. They improve your memory, motivation, creativity, and overall cognitive function.

Now, it's no secret that we've been trying to increase our mental capacity for thousands of years. Ancient Ayurvedic medicine used herbs and spices to enhance memory, and Mayan culture used cocoa powder to improve mental clarity and reduce mental fatigue.

But in the modern world, we have a much better understanding of the brain and how substances affect it.

Research suggests that creatine may be far more effective than any other natural nootropic used throughout history.

And yes, it's natural because it naturally occurs in the body. This means the body can get rid of excess amounts without severe side effects.

Giving your body a boost of creatine can produce some astonishing results — and with little or no side effects. It's no wonder why people are catching on to this powerful supplement.

So how does this stuff work?

Well, there's a compound called adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which the body uses as its primary provider of energy. ATP is comprised of adenosine and three phosphate groups.

When the body's cells need some energy, the cells' batteries (a.k.a. mitochondria) break off one of the phosphate molecules.

This causes a release of energy, and at the same time, it turns ATP into adenosine diphosphate (ADP), which can no longer be used for energy production.

So when ATP is converted into ADP, the body gets tired and fatigued because it's running out of energy.

But here's the thing... creatine swoops in and saves the day.

Here's how:

When ATP becomes ADP, creatine has the ability to restore the third phosphate molecule, turning ADP back into ATP.

Why does this matter for the brain?

Well, the brain consumes more energy than any other organ in the body. Each day the brain uses around 20% of the body's total haul of energy.

And as the brain becomes depleted of energy, creatine provides the recharge it needs. This allows your brain more energy for strenuous cognitive functions so it can perform better and for longer.

We've all felt that mental exhaustion where you just can’t handle any more thinking. According to scientific research, creatine boosts the brain's energy and prevents mental fatigue.1

Even more, it's able to improve your focus, memory, and even IQ.

Can you think of a more perfect solution for those with a heavy workload at work or in school? Probably not.

In fact, your brain needs creatine to function properly. Studies show that when creatine becomes depleted, it can slow down learning and lower neuroplasticity.2

Most research suggests that creatine is best used at 5 grams a day. However, it seems to be effective at even just 3 grams.

If you're having trouble with physical and mental fatigue, it may be time to give this powerful nootropic a try.
