Deadly Cell Phone Radiation, Killer Cheerios, and the Secret Powers of Vitamin C

Welcome to another weekly roundup. This one’s a bit longer because it deals with one of the biggest public health crises we face today.

So let’s get to it:

5G Wireless Technology Is Coming, But It Could Pose Some Serious Health Risks

If you haven’t heard about 5G, you will soon. 5G is the next generation of wireless connectivity, the natural evolution of the 4G phone you have right now. It’s meant to be the digital highway that all of our smart devices — our phones, cars, toasters, and Fitbits — can communicate over.

However, 5G’s name is misleading. Even though it may seem at first glance like a small, incremental improvement over its predecessor, in reality 5G will be the most significant leap forward in mobile technology we’ve ever seen.

However, if we dig into the science behind 5G and get past all the marketing hype, it’s pretty clear that 5G could become a serious threat to public health. 25 scientists and doctors from 41 nations — all experts in their fields — have written to the FCC and United Nations warning of the dangers of the radio waves emitted by 5G devices.

Martin Pall, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Biochemistry and Basic Medical Sciences at Washington State University, is the world’s foremost expert on wireless radiation and the effects it has on our bodies.

He has written extensively about the dangers the 5G spectrum poses to human health. According to Dr. Pall, the short, tight frequency band disrupts voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCCs) within our cells. VGCCs help regulate gene expression, as well as hormonal, endocrine, and neurotransmitter function.

You can also see for yourself the 134 scientific papers that have found adverse health effects of low-intensity EMFs that are used for our cellular devices... even while the telecommunications industry says these frequencies aren’t harmful.

Oh, and one more thing that’s especially important if you’re a homeowner: Since the radio wave frequencies used for 5G are exceptionally short and tight, traditional cell towers aren’t sufficient to broadcast the signal far enough.

So the telecom industry is pushing for small 5G broadcasting modules to be installed on streetlight poles, on the roofs of buildings, and on houses. You can see what that would look like here.

But I’ll ruin the surprise for you: They’re ugly. And the major 5G providers want one of these modules every 12 houses. If you don’t think that’s going to decrease the value of your home and even your entire neighborhood, I think you’ll be in for a rude awakening.

Killer Cancer Cheerios

A recent study conducted by the Environmental Working Group has found that 95% of oat-based products were contaminated with glyphosate, a popular pesticide sold under the brand name Roundup.

Glyphosate has been linked to cancer, autism, gut imbalances, faulty endocrine function, and hormonal decay. Unfortunately, many of the products analyzed by the EWG were cereals or oatmeal, which are mainly targeted toward children. And any adverse effects of glyphosate are especially harmful to young people.

The same study found that only 31% of organic products were tainted with the weed killer. Which just goes to show how important it is to buy organic whenever you can, especially in the chemical-laden world we live in.

Vitamin C: The Longevity Secret Hiding in Plain Sight?

A recent study published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health found that vitamin C might be one of the most powerful nutrients we know of. The 16-year-long study discovered that subjects with the highest plasma concentration levels of vitamin C were 35% less likely to die from heart disease and 28% less likely to die from cancer and stroke than people with low levels. It will be interesting to see where this research goes.
