Factory Farming Increases Diabetes Risk?
The world is getting sicker every day.
It’s getting so bad that even our healthy food is now unhealthy.
What do I mean by that?
Check this out:
Multiple studies have confirmed that since the 1950s, nutrient levels in our soil have declined dramatically.
Key nutrients, like magnesium, phosphorous, calcium, and vitamin C, have been stripped out of the ground due to modern industrial agriculture.
It’s getting so bad that even worms are having a difficult time surviving in the subterranean wasteland. It’s estimated that more than 80% of the earthworm population is dying off.
But it isn’t just earthworms that are suffering.
The dramatic decline in soil nutrition may be having big effects on people as well.
New research has uncovered a disturbing link between low levels of magnesium in our diet and type 2 diabetes, with some studies showing that around 48% of people with type 2 diabetes are magnesium deficient.
Backing up this study is another trial that found those with the highest levels of magnesium were 47% less likely to develop diabetes.
And guess what the number one source of magnesium is?
The vegetables we eat.
It used to be that you could get everything you needed from regular food.
But not anymore.
The transnational food and agricultural companies have sold our health down the river in order to make better margins.
They don’t care what happens in the future, as long as they get their money now.
But we do care. And I’m sure you care as well.
So what can you do?
Well, you can support local regenerative agriculture. Buying wholesale from farms can actually be cheaper than supermarket produce.
And these smaller farms tend to use more sustainable and nutrient-rich farming practices.
Evidence also shows that some can increase their body's magnesium levels by adding a high-quality magnesium supplement to their daily routines.
The supplements come in different forms, but magnesium citrate, chelate, or glycinate tend to be the most bio-available forms with the least-reported side effects.
